Leather and footwear

Every other material in this ERP is a rectangle; a hide is the shape of the animal, is not uniform across itself, and has its faults in particular places. So a pattern is nested on the real outline with the neck and shanks pre-filled as waste, a vamp is refused the belly however well it would fit there, and a scar is priced by cutting the hide twice — with it and without. What comes back is that a fault has no cost in the abstract at all: the same scar on the same skin is worth nothing against one order and three times its own area against another, which is the one thing a letter grade can never tell you.

Every screen in this module, and what is on it

Read off the running application — the panels, the columns, the figures and the buttons that are actually there. Nothing on this page was written for a brochure.

What it works out

Computed by the software, checked against the running system.

What a fault costs is not its sizeOnly 72.1% of a hide may legally be cut into a shoe upper — the rest is neck and shank, bought and unusable. And the same scar costs nothing against one order and up to 3.22× its own area against another, because what it costs is whatever it displaces.

And everything a factory needs anyway

The trade module is the part nobody else builds. It sits on top of a complete business system, so there is no second package to buy for the accounts, the stores, the plant or the audit.

On the same ledger as everything else

This module is licensed on its own and starts with a seven-day trial, but it is not a separate system: material, cost and billing land in the same accounts as the rest of the business.
